Is the next Spelling Bee Champion at our school?! Cypress Springs Elementary PTA is excited to host our Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee on January 15th and 16th. Grades 1st-5th will have their Bee on Wednesday, Jan. 15th, and Thursday, Jan 16th, during Essentials. The champion and runner-up from each grade will compete in a School Bee after school on January 23rd. The School Champion and Runner-Up will have the opportunity to advance to the local and regional Bees. We want to give students and parents plenty of time to practice. We need two judges and one pronouncer. To ensure fairness, the same people should ideally participate on all three days. We will ask you to step out for your child's grade if they are participating. We will gather in the Kindergarten STEAM lab.

Here are the time commitments:

Wednesday, January 15th:

7:55-8:40 AM - 5th Grade

9:40-10:25 AM - 1st Grade

Thursday, January 16th:

10:30-11:15 PM - 3rd Grade

12:30-1:15 PM - 2nd Grade

2:10-2:55 PM - 4th Grade

Thursday, January 23rd:

3:15-4:00 PM - Finals

1st and 2nd place winners for each grade level will be invited to participate in the School-Wide Bee,
